Long Day

Just a short one tonight due to my 15 hour round trip working day turning my brain to mush.

However two things I would briefly like to comment on…

Firstly can someone explain to me why on earth it is necessary to change the frequency of trains after 7pm? Does the entire world stop travelling then?

It’s bad enough that after the hours of midnight in most occasions my travel options are reduced to walking or getting an extortionate taxi, but 7pm? Prior to 7pm there is a train every hour, after 7pm there are still two trains per hour, however they leave within 6 minutes of each other, what kind of time tabling cock up is that?

Secondly what is the deal with Train companies and seats? Is there some kind of restriction on the amount they are allowed in any one place? It’s bad enough that I have to spend every Morning standing up, getting crushed against the train door, looking on with envy at the smug bastards who got a seat.

Apparently a place to sit when waiting for the train is too much to ask for as well. It’s amazing how they think that only 12 people at any one time are going to waiting for a train from Woking to Waterloo!
