To me – To you

Today we received a new Sofa, or should I say half a new sofa.

Despite the heroic efforts of the delivery men, beating three flights of very narrow stairs; they were beaten at the final hurdle. It just wouldn’t fit through the door.

This left us in a conundrum, we had paid the delivery guys to take away our existing furniture to facilitate the space for the new suite, but now we had nowhere to sit.

Luckily the Suite my wife picked came in two parts, and had the added bonus of a “snuggeler,” a piece of furniture that I have to say, I was sure she had made up, but much to her delight was confirmed as its correct name by the aforementioned delivery men, and thankfully the company were willing to leave us those whilst we wait for an upholsterer to dismantle and reasmble the sofa later this month

So as it stands we are down to half a sofa and the Snuggler, it’s not ideal but I can confirm that both are extremely comfy and once the rest of it is dismantled and then put back together inside the flat later this month, I am sure it will be perfect.

The afternoon reminded me of a sketch from the Chuckle Brothers, or the Pivot Scene from friends.

Rubbish as not having the entire thing is, at least it didn’t end up with the same outcome.
