Almost there

Well I’m almost there.

Only 1 day to go until the end of the month and I have managed to maintain my post a day streak, it hasn’t always been pretty, some of the post have been outright fillers and some have caused controversy amongst my peers.

But either way I’ve almost made it, on top of that I have put together a draft of another chapter of SFU, something that realistically has taken me years to manage!

It’s been tough, hence the filler posts, its undeniably difficult to write something every day, it’s even more challenging to write something people want to read every day. That’s probably the biggest area I need to work on for next month, the filler is all well and good but to a certain degree it feels like cheating.

If you didn’t want to read it was it worth me writing it?

So overall in blogging terms May has been a successful month, in SFU writing terms it also been a success, although at a rate of one chapter a month I’m unlikely to finish it before I die so I better get a move on!

I’m OK with the “filler” content. If you’re trying to build that habit of the discipline of writing daily, then to some degree the content is secondary. I’ve been reading but not writing during May and have been cheering for you as the month has progressed. Finish the month strong then figure out what’s next. Your example has spurred me to challenge myself- so I’m going to try the same thing for June!
