Happy New Year

So that’s it, another year over.

Despite the various theories as to why it might not have, the Earth has made another successful revolution around the sun.

Ten days after the end of the world and we are still here.  Let’s hope it stays that way, but I’m sure over the next few weeks and months we’ll all be given a new date to put in our calendars to start stocking the tinned food for.

As the year draws to close I thought I should post something, either a retrospective of the last year, a list of resolutions, or perhaps an uplifting/inspirational message to carry us into the new one.

But looking at it, despite the 2nd half of my year taking a turn for the better, the 1st half was somewhat turbulent and upsetting.

As far as resolutions go I’ve never been all that good at them and to be honest I find doing them secretly somewhat easier, I find the pressure that I put on myself by telling someone else actually makes it more difficult, so whilst I might well have some, I’ll keep them to myself for now.

As for the uplifting/inspirational message?

I don’t think I’m going to beat the musings of my friend Slyph, so I shall point you in his direction with a hearty recommendation that either on the eve of this New Year or upon returning from your celebrations that you give it a read.
