Back to reality

Setting the alarm last night was somewhat painful, but not as painful as getting up this morning.

After a full week off over the Christmas period, something that despite being entrenched into the office life style now, my old Store manager self still cant quite get over, today was the first day back in the office.

Thankfully it was a pretty quiet day, a large portion of the office was still enjoying the festive time off and had taken the sensible action of taking the lone working day after new years off and this allowed me to re-accustom myself slowly with the daily grind.

The last 12 months work wise have been extremely positive, with a lot of changes within my role and my team, and I am predicting that this year will see an equal amount of opportunities, so whilst it might have been painful to get up this morning I am hoping it is a good start to what will be another enjoyable year.
